Rear Entry

A suit designed for comfort.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Team required a suit which their team could wear for many long hours without it becoming uncomfortable or tiring. They also needed a highly visible suit so they quickly chose the Northern Diver Vortex high visibility orange fabric.

The design consists of:

  • Rear Entry Drysuit manufactured from supple Vortex trilaminate fabric in high visibility orange
  • A Yamamoto super-stretch neoprene neck seal and Rubbatex neoprene wrist seals
  • A purpose-designed shoulder lightstick pocket
  • A Bellows Pocket pocket on the right thigh
  • Kevlar® reinforced padded knee patches
  • Fitted latex socks
  • ND special Lightspeed 877 reflective printing on arms and legs

Again, as standard, this drysuit was supplied with internal braces, sealed-for-life seams, storage/carry bag which opens out as a changing mat and a maintenance/repair kit.

Vortex Polyester Fabric

Hard-wearing 480 denier per metre2 polyester trilaminate fabric.

Vortex is Northern Diver’s standard trilaminate drysuit material, having been in use in our suits for 15 years.

Proven to be incredibly resistant to scuffing and rips, Vortex has thoroughly withstood the test of time.

In addition to its strength, Vortex is very comfortable, proving a popular choice for boat handlers and rescue teams who wear their suits for many long hours at a time.

In conclusion, Vortex will ensure comfort for the wearer, great protection from the elements and will provide a substantial, long-lasting drysuit.

Your Specification, Our Expertise

Case Study Spec Image

Once our design team had completed the drawings to the specified requirements, the customer was given the opportunity to review the final suit design prior to manufacturing.

In this case the decision was made to include the team’s name in the shoulder Lightspeed 877 reflective printing and also to print their crest on the drysuit chest and pocket.

Manufacturing took place within the designated time-space and the suits are currently in use with the North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Team.
