| Q |

The cost of a made to measure suit is an additional £100 and will take roughly 4 weeks dependant on how many suits we have in production at the time. |

Yes, wrists can be changed from latex to neoprene, however technically not the other way round as the latex seals are shorter than the neoprene and will shorten the arm length of the suit. |

| Q |
Do you do regulator and Cylinder servicing? How much and how long will it take? |
| A |
Yes we Service most manufacturers regulators, Northern Diver, Apeks, Mares, Posidon, Scubapro.
However if you are unsure please call one of the sales staff (01257)254444 as some regulators may not be able to be serviced due to age/model. The cost would depend on the make and what parts are needed but the price would be roughly £80 for a stage 3 service, this would include first stage, second stage and octopus, hoses and gauges would also be inspected.
We also offer cylinder servicing both visual and hydrostatic, prices: visual - £35 price hydrostatic £45.
This also includes a full pillar valve inspection.
This service generally takes 1 week providing all parts are available.

| Q |
Which type of drysuit will suit me, membrane or neoprene? |
| A |
The style that is best for you fully depends on what sort of diving you will do and where. Both have distinct advantages but in the end it comes down to personal choice.
- Membrane drysuits are usually very lightweight, consist of three layers which are laminated together and dry very fast. However, they do not provide much insulation so wearing a thermal undersuit would be highly recommended. The looser fit of the membrane suit means that they are very easy to take on and off offering increased overall comfort. The membrane drysuit material will not stretch and therefore the suit will not be as flexible as a neoprene style drysuit but the membrane material is much harder wearing.
- Neoprene drysuits are probably the most commonly worn drysuits and are chosen by the majority of diving schools. Neoprene drysuits are highly flexible and the material also has thermal properties allowing, in most cases, the use of a thinner undersuit. Most neoprene drysuits use a highly compressed neoprene material in there construction, to help eliminate buoyancy and reduce the suits compression at depth. These suits are popular with wreck and general sport divers due to their flexibility.

| Q |
What is the difference between a 'Metalux 300' and a 'Metalux Arctic'? |
| A |
The 'Metalux 300' is the 300g version of our earlier model of Metalux undersuit. The earlier models were originally available in three different weights - 100g, 200g and 300g. The difference between these is the thickness and therefore the thermal properties of the undersuits (100g being the thinnest, for warmer waters and/or drysuits incorporating thermal properties and 300g being the thickest, for colder waters and/or drysuits without thermal properties). These earlier models of our Metalux undersuit have a quilted exterior and the stock (as they are now in our ‘ clearance’ section) is now reduced to limited sizes.
Our new versions of this very popular undersuit are available in all sizes and in two varieties - ‘Temperate’ (similar to the old 100g/200g) and ‘Arctic’ (similar to the old 200g/300g). Named as such to help with the FAQ 'Which undersuit would be best..?’ and to reduce confusion when matching the thickness of an undersuit to the diving conditions and/or a customer’s drysuit.
