Northern Diver (International) caters to recreational divers, commercial divers, military personnel, and emergency services. Our facility in Appley Bridge functions as both the company headquarters and a centre for research, development, and production. Over the years, Northern Diver (International) has built a solid reputation for producing high-quality, innovative products with a strong commitment to safety and performance in underwater environments. The site includes state-of-the-art manufacturing units, a research and development lab, and training facilities. This enables us to maintain tight control over the production process and ensure the highest quality standards.

​​​​​​​ We are looking for a dynamic and creative E-Commerce Sales Assistant to join our team, specialising in selling stock online and expanding our reach to new target audiences via social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for e-commerce, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of social media marketing. This role is essential in helping us maximise sales, clear inventory, and engage with a diverse audience across various social media channels.

FULL TRAINING WILL BE GIVEN on product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

​​​​​​​Social Media Sales and Marketing
Develop and execute strategies to sell stock through social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and others. Use our engaging content (images, videos, and copy) to promote products, special offers, and sales events. Utilise social media features (e.g., Stories, Reels, Live streams) to showcase discounted products and drive sales.

Audience Engagement
Interact with customers, respond to comments and direct messages promptly, and provide excellent customer service. Build and maintain relationships with customers and potential partners to promote clearance stock. Monitor and analyse audience behaviour, engagement rates, and feedback to optimise content and strategy.

Inventory Management
Coordinate with the inventory team to track clearance stock levels and ensure accurate listings. Update product descriptions, prices, and availability on social media.

Target Audience Expansion
Research and identify new target audiences that align with the company’s goals and objectives. Develop and implement strategies to reach and convert these new audiences into customers.

Content Advertisement
Collaborate with the creative and marketing team to manage a content calendar for all social media platforms. Regularly update and optimise the social media profiles to reflect current promotions and brand messaging.

Ad Campaign Management
Assist in planning, creating, and managing paid/unpaid advertising campaigns on social media to promote clearance stock. Track ad performance and adjust targeting and creative to achieve the best results.

Other Duties:
Once orders are placed, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate selection and retrieval of items from the warehouse. This will require close collaboration with both the warehouse and dispatch teams to guarantee that orders are processed efficiently and shipped without delay. You will be responsible for overseeing the dispatch process by coordinating with various parcel handlers and couriers, such as Hermes, DPD, DHL, and Parcel Force, to ensure timely and effective delivery to our customers.

​​​​​​​ To maintain the highest standards of service and customer satisfaction, you must demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and strong communication skills when interacting with internal teams and external partners. Your duties will include verifying that the correct goods are picked, packed, and dispatched to the appropriate customers, while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will work proactively to resolve any issues that may arise during the picking, packing, or shipping process, ensuring a seamless delivery experience for our customers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
> Proven experience in social media marketing and sales, preferably within an e-commerce or retail environment.
> Strong knowledge of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) and their advertising tools.
> Excellent communication skills.
> Proficiency in content creation tools.
> Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and inventory management.
> Analytical skills to interpret social media data and sales reports.
> Creative thinker with a proactive approach to identifying new opportunities.

Preferred Skills:
> Experience with influencer marketing and collaborations.
> Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics tools
