Marketing Specialist

Northern Diver is a rapidly growing company.  Having been in business for over 40 years we have created an innovative and highly regarded product range within the recreational, Commercial, Offshore, Water Rescue and Military diving sectors. This is an outstanding and exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing Specialist to join our creative team. To succeed in this role you should be friendly, outgoing bursting with ideas and the knowledge to back up them up, as well as an analytical streak that allows you to produce quality reports and insight to help increase our online presence, push our brand, improve our campaigns and maintain/grow our reputation within the industry. 

·       Salary: negotiable, dependent on experience
·       Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm + 1 in 5 Saturdays, from 9.00am to 12.30pm.

Your tasks will include:

·      Assist in developing engaging online content including new, articles, blogs, press releases
·      Expert knowledge of Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Ads, Google Tags and other relevant SEM tools
·      Additional expertise in social media reporting, tracking and paid social platforms
·      Develop and implement SEO, PPC and social strategies
·      Ensuring we apply all best practice technical SEO
·      Experience in SEO-tracking platforms, such as SEMRush, Moz or similar
·      Monitor, analyse and report on campaign success
·      Analyse campaign data, extract value and provide insights for reporting
·      Keep abreast of digital marketing trends and web technologies
·      Create, manage and report on link-building and referrals
·      Providing online insight (e.g. trends, keyword analysis) to guide the team
·      Understanding online user-behaviour, customer journey, goals and identify issues to optimise conversion rate
·      Conduct keyword research and identify the most effective keywords
·      Writing, editing and optimising website content based on insights gained from comprehensive keyword research
·      Search, PPC, paid and organic social, as well as SEO-optimised content for multiple websites
·      Identify and organise relevant trade shows and support the sales team at events
·      Generate testimonials and case studies from existing and new clients
·      Come up with innovative and creative ideas for campaigns across digital channels
·      Working in a friendly environment with a creative team who LOVE what they do
·      Analyse results from email marketing campaigns to improve key performance metrics (deliverability, open rate, click through rate, sales)

Required Skills

·      Must be a good communicator
·      Previous experience working in a digital marketing role
·      Ambitious and forward thinking with the confidence to put forward ideas and the knowledge to back up
·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·      Attention to detail
·      Proactive, passionate and motivated
·      Ability to work with the team or individually as required
·      Coding skills helpful but not essential
·      Strong, proven analytical skills
·      Up to date knowledge of modern SEO best practice, current marketing tools and strategies
·      Experience of Google Analytics or other analytics tools
·      Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
·      Dynamic and with a 'hands-on’ approach
·      Big personality, must not be afraid to put forward ideas
·      A creative thinker who can develop content which will engage the reader
·      Knowledge of MailChimp tracking and reporting
·      General knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite desirable but not essential
·      Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
·      Good analytical, planning and organisational skills
·      Previous experience blogging or news article writing
