E-commerce & Digital Marketing Executive

Northern Diver is a rapidly growing company.  Having been in business for over 40 years we have created an innovative and highly regarded product range within the recreational, Commercial, Offshore, Water Rescue and Military diving sectors. This is an outstanding and exciting opportunity to join our Creative Team.   • SALARY: Negotiable depending on experience
  • HOURS: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8.30am to 5pm
  • LOCATION: Appley Bridge, WN6 9AE (near M6 – junction 27)

Your tasks will include:

  • Producing engaging online written content including news articles, blogs, press releases and website content
  • Writing, editing and optimising website content based on insights gained from comprehensive keyword research
  • Generate testimonials and case studies from existing and new clients
  • Assist with creating product videos and content for vlogs
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Ads, Google Tags and other relevant SEM tools
  • Ensuring we apply all best practice technical SEO
  • Experience in SEO-tracking platforms, such as SEMRush, Moz or similar
  • Keep abreast of digital marketing trends and web technologies
  • Create, manage and report on link-building and referrals
  • Providing online insight (e.g. trends, keyword analysis) to guide the team
  • Understanding online user-behaviour, customer journey, goals and identify issues to optimise conversion rate
  • Identify and assist with organising relevant trade shows
  • Come up with innovative and creative ideas for campaigns across digital channels 

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A creative thinker who can develop content that will engage the reader
  • Previous experience blogging, vlogging or news article writing (helpful but not essential)
  • Knowledge of YouTube Studio (helpful but not essential)
  • Previous experience working in a digital marketing role (preferable)
  • Ambitious with the confidence to put forward ideas and the knowledge to back up
  • Attention to detail, proactive, passionate and motivated
  • Ability to work with the team or individually as required
  • Coding skills (helpful but not essential)
  • Up to date knowledge of SEO best practice, current marketing tools and strategies 
  • Experience of Google Analytics or other analytics tools
  • Ability to work under pressure where required
  • Good analytical, planning and organisational skills
  • Enthusiastic about learning new things and open to training courses where required
