Quality Manager

Northern Diver is a rapidly growing company! Having been in business for over 40 years we have created an innovative and highly regarded product range within the Recreational, Commercial, Offshore, Water Rescue and Military diving sectors. We maintain exceptional quality standards to ensure that our operations provide the highest level of services to our clients. We have seen year on year growth and have further exciting expansion plans in place, as a result we need to recruit a Quality Professional to join our team.

- Competitive annual salary (£40k+)

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm

- Holidays - 23 days + Bank Holidays (Closed for Christmas)


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage company certification of new and existing products EU, CE and UKCA marking(s)
  • Produce supporting documentation for EU, CE and UKCA marking(s) etc. Ensure that all documentation and data conform to the required standards
  • Manage Quality Systems and Internal Audits (Responsible for the total Quality and Environmental Functions of the business - ISO 9001 & ISO 14001)
  • Responsible for the management of the health and safety compliance
  • Identify business risk factors, draft risk assessments, and indicate necessary measures for the health and safety of working environments in compliance with the regulations and legislation in force
  • Carry out health and safety inspections, audits, and reviews
  • Establish health and safety requirements on site and provide solutions
  • Liaise with test and certification subcontractors and suppliers
  • Act as point of contact for compliance issues
  • Assist Engineering team in new product/process design and implementation to ensure effective quality control procedures and certification are implemented and controlled
  • Working as part of a growing Quality and Engineering team
  • Occasional overseas travel and Supplier Audits
  • Perform other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in ISO 9001:2015 Requirements and process improvement
  • Hands-on approach
  • Excellent Computer Literacy including MS-Office
  • Experience in leading/reviewing/approving quality investigations, undertaking root cause analysis, developing corrective action plans, and ensuring the effectiveness of actions undertaken
  • Clean Driving Licence
  • Proactive and able to work independently
