Based in Appley Bridge, Lancashire, Northern Diver (International) Ltd designs and manufactures a wide range of diving equipment, including wetsuits, drysuits, diving accessories, and technical diving equipment.  Founded in 1985, the company has grown to become a prominent name in the diving industry, known for its innovation, quality and comprehensive product range.

Northern Diver (International) caters to recreational divers, commercial divers, military personnel, and emergency services. Our facility in Appley Bridge functions as both the company headquarters and a centre for research, development, and production. Over the years, Northern Diver (International) has built a solid reputation for producing high-quality, innovative products with a strong commitment to safety and performance in underwater environments. The site includes state-of-the-art manufacturing units, a research and development lab, and training facilities. This enables us to maintain tight control over the production process and ensure the highest quality standards.

We are looking for a Dispatch Operative to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have both the experience and enthusiasm to work with us.

> Competitive basic salary £25,000 per annum
> Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 17:00pm and every fifth Saturday 9:00am to 12:30pm
​​​​​​​> Holidays : 23 days + 8 Bank Holidays

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Stock Management
> Maintain accurate stock levels using bonded warehouse and stock computer systems.
> Ensure goods received from suppliers are checked against paperwork, labeled correctly, and placed in designated stock locations.
> Participate in regular stock takes.
> Assist in investigating stock anomalies and discrepancies, reporting findings to management.
> Booking in diving suits for repairs that are sent in by customers.
> Knowledge of Dangerous Good (Sea, Air, Road).
> Supporting goods in function.
> Ensuring integrity of all stock.

Picking, Packing, and Shipping
(Duties as and when required)
> Arrange the picking, packing and shipment of goods from the warehouse to UK and worldwide destinations.
> Pack products suitably for shipping using DHL, FedEx, Parcel Force, DPD, UPS, Royal Mail and arrange collection and deliveries with couriers.
> Ensure correct goods are picked and dispatched to the appropriate customers while complying with legal requirements.
> Attention to detail to make sure goods are picked and dispatched to the correct customers.
> Ensuring goods booked in/ sent with the correct paperwork and labeled.

Skills and Experience

​​​​​​​Manual Handling
Ability to handle and move goods manually while following manual handling training provided.

Warehouse Machinery
Experience using Forklift Trucks (FLT), and other warehouse machinery (Desirable, but not essential).

IT Skills
Proficient in Excel, Word: training will be provided on in house systems (Essential).

Teamwork
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
