Designed and built to last

Diving is a one of a kind sport that places extreme demands on the gear. Paralenz® looks and feels like regular dive gear, it's extremely durable or as they put it "Built like a canon", made with an aerospace and military-grade aluminium body and titanium screws this is an underwater camera you can take anywhere.

By taking their time with the development and design of the camera - and using top quality materials and components - the Paralenz® team have eliminated the need for any extra housing and invented an underwater camera that's ready to go below the surface straight out of the box. This, in turn, provides you with a smaller, more waterproof camera that holds a lens which never fogs over.

Plus, we've included the Lens Cap in the package

The silicone lens cover designed and made specifically for the Paralenz® Dive Camera will protect your Paralenz's lens. While the Paralenz® Maintenance Kit includes a spare lens, when you've invested in an expensive, great quality piece of dive kit, we know you'll want to keep it at its best. That's why we sell the Paralenz® with the lens cover accessory. Weighing just 7g, the cover slides snugly on to the front of the Paralenz® and clips around the camera's slider button. The Paralenz® shaped cover also includes the Paralenz® logo on the cap adding subtle detailing to the high-quality cover.

What makes Paralenz® videos different?

With the Paralenz®, there's no need for colour-grading or filters, you'll get brighter, more colourful videos as standard.

Usually recordings underwater have a green or blue tint to them unless a colour filter's used. However, with their patented DDC technology, the Paralenz® dive camera automatically corrects the colours to match the depth you're at. This also means that unlike other dive cameras, which require you to change colour filter when you change depth, you can relax and enjoy your dive - no altering required. This also means you don't lose any light to colour absorption the way you would when you're using filters.

Unlike competitor cameras, you won't experience lens distortion underwater and you'll benefit from fixed focus recording. Your video and images will benefit from image stabilisation (EIS) and the ability to shoot in either 1080p or 4k video. The EIS technology of the Paralenz® gives you a helping hand when it comes to producing smooth videos. However, to ensure great results, nothing beats slow movement and good buoyancy control when you're creating steady videos. The angle of the Paralenz® lens perfectly matches up with the size of the camera's sensor underwater. The underwater camera's large 1/2.5” image sensor is developed especially for low light by SONY. This and the fact that you need no filters delivers brighter recordings than any other underwater camera. This means you get warp-free videos that have nice straight lines, yet you've still got enough of an angle to record almost everything in front of you.

Dive without distraction

The fact that you don't need filters really helps you reduce your dive kit and enables you to spend more time focusing on your dive, but even better the Paralenz® is designed to need less of your attention too. Paralenz® is also the first underwater camera with a pressure sensor. This enables you to display real-time depth and temperature as an overlay in your videos and pictures.

The dive camera has vibration feedback which enables you to feel what the camera's doing instead of having to check the display. Every function of the camera has a distinctive vibration pattern of its own so you know exactly what mode you're in and when.

The beauty of simplicity

The Paralenz® creators have kept it simple - with one sliding button, you can easily control the whole camera. The designers chose to develop the camera with a magnetic switch, this was to ensure the Paralenz® works work under any pressure without penetrating the camera body. The switch style also means that as opposed to other underwater cameras on the market, the button is larger and provides more feedback, even through your gloves. In fact, their interface will even work when you have thick, neoprene mittens on!

What's in the box?

Included with your Paralenz® Dive Camera are two mounts - a mask mount and a universal mount. Obviously, the USB-C Charging Cable is included but there's also a wrist strap, silicon grease and three spare O-rings to keep it safe and watertight. There's also a sturdy travel case to hold it all to ensure your Paralenz® gear never misses one of your trips. We've also included the Lens cover to protect your camera when it's not in use

When should I use WB instead of DCC?

Paralenz® recommend using their patented DCC technology where there's enough natural light. Simply choose the colour that matches the water. If you're using video or dive lights, choose a fixed white balance (WB) with temperature matching (choose the correct kelvin) to get the best results.

You can triple-click the camera's switch to easily toggle between DDC and WB, as long as the camera isn't recording. The lighting status will flash on your camera's display, both can't be active.

No need for extra anything

The Paralenz® doesn't need extra housing to make it waterproof. It's one of the only underwater cameras on the market that can be used without additional dive housing. It has 360° mounting options and your Paralenz® comes with a mask and universal mount included as standard.

Capture the deep, effortlessly

With the Paralenz's patented auto-record technology, you can set a depth in advance and once it's reached, the camera starts capturing video automatically. It'll then stops once you resurface. This fantastic feature extends your battery life. Plus, it eliminates the need to edit out boring parts of your videos and leaves you free to focus on your dive.

Alternatively, if you don't want to auto-record, you can simply press the button once to take a photo, or press & hold it to record - simple. This way, you can edit on the go, editing by deciding what to capture as you dive, rather than on your computer later. You can tell the story of your dive and share it right away.

Either way, you can record and log your dives all the way down to 250m (820ft). The Paralenz® underwater camera is suited even for the extreme and the sensors on-board enable you to feel safer as you dive.

Be aware that Samsung micro-SD cards and SD-cards of other brands are NOT compatible with the Paralenz Dive Camera.
