Northern Diver’s production, testing, and dispatch teams have completed preparation of a major shipment of 200 MTP Lightweight and Cortex drysuits, ready for delivery.
The order reflects not only ongoing global demand for specialist diving equipment, but also the strength of an end-to-end manufacturing process built around quality, safety, and performance.

At Northern Diver, every product is managed through a fully integrated journey — from initial concept through to final dispatch and beyond.
Designs begin within our research and development team, made up of experienced engineers and certified designers who focus on creating equipment that meets the real-world demands of professional and specialist users. Once a concept is finalised, prototypes are produced by our fabrication specialists. These early-stage designs are then put through extensive evaluation, undergoing rigorous testing both in-house and by independent external bodies. This process ensures each product meets strict standards for safety, reliability, and performance in demanding environments.

A key part of this quality assurance process is our pressure testing service. Each drysuit is thoroughly checked to identify and address any potential leaks from neck to toe before final approval and dispatch. This attention to detail helps ensure every suit performs as intended when it matters most in the field.

The Cortex Drysuit included in this shipment is engineered for durability, manufactured using ultra hard-wearing Cordura® fabric and reinforced in high-stress areas to enhance resilience in challenging conditions. It also features generous storage capacity, supporting operational practicality without compromising mobility or comfort. Alongside this, the MTP Lightweight suits offer a streamlined, breathable alternative designed for environments where reduced weight and increased agility are essential. From initial design through to final inspection and dispatch, every stage of the process is carefully controlled in-house — ensuring that each product leaving our facility is built to perform, built to last, and built with purpose.
