Northern Diver Hosts BSAC Workshop
at Headquarters

This week, Northern Diver welcomed members of BSAC to its headquarters for a dedicated diving workshop, offering unique behind-the-scenes insight into the company’s facilities, product development, and operational capabilities.

The visit provided attendees with an in-depth look at how Northern Diver designs, tests, and manufactures equipment used by divers across recreational, commercial, military, and rescue sectors. A key highlight of the day was the guided tour of the company’s specialist facilities, each playing a critical role in ensuring product performance, safety, and reliability.

22.5m Deep Diving Tank
Among the standout features was Northern Diver’s 22.5 metre dive tank, a purpose-built environment that allows for controlled, in-house testing and evaluation of equipment in realistic underwater conditions. This capability enables the team to rigorously assess performance, refine designs, and ensure that products meet the demands of real-world diving scenarios. Available to rent for marine trails and product testing - contact the team for more information.

Cylinder Testing
Visitors were also introduced to the newly IDEST-certified cylinder testing centre. This facility provides professional inspection and testing services for diving cylinders, ensuring compliance with industry standards while supporting diver safety through thorough maintenance and certification processes.

Engineering
The tour continued through the engineering department, where guests gained insight into the design and development lifecycle. From initial concept through to prototyping and production, the department plays a central role in driving innovation across Northern Diver’s product range.

Oxygen Clean Room
Another key area of interest was the oxygen clean room. Maintained to strict cleanliness standards, this specialist environment is essential for preparing equipment, helping to reduce contamination risks and maintain safety in technical and professional diving applications.

The workshop created an opportunity for open discussion, knowledge sharing, and collaboration between Northern Diver and BSAC members. By showcasing its facilities and expertise, the company reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the wider diving community and promoting best practices across the industry. Northern Diver regularly hosts groups, organisations, and teams interested in learning more about diving equipment, facility capabilities, and industry processes.

Those interested in arranging a visit or workshop are encouraged to get in touch to explore future opportunities. As part of its ongoing mission, Northern Diver remains dedicated to innovation, safety, and community engagement—continuing to support divers at every level.
