Northern Diver is proud to announce the successful award of a new tender with West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, supplying a comprehensive range of MOD 2 and swift water rescue equipment across a 3+1 year agreement, with the option to extend for a further year. This latest contract reinforces Northern Diver’s continued commitment to supporting frontline rescue professionals with dependable, mission-ready equipment designed for demanding operational environments.

Covering one of the UK’s most flood-affected regions, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service plays a vital role in protecting communities impacted by severe weather and rising water incidents throughout Leeds and the wider Yorkshire area. In recent years, devastating flooding events have placed significant demands on emergency responders, requiring equipment that performs reliably in fast-moving, unpredictable, and high-pressure conditions.

As part of the agreement, Northern Diver will supply a wide range of rescue and water operations equipment, including:

Evo X PFDs

6m Telescopic Reach Pole + accessories

Developed for performance, durability, and responder safety, the selected equipment will support operational teams across a variety of water rescue and emergency response scenarios.

A key element of the tender award was the selection of the Evo X PFD, chosen for its exceptional manoeuvrability and operational performance in dynamic rescue environments. Designed to allow unrestricted movement during demanding water operations, the Evo X offers a streamlined profile that supports mobility when swimming, climbing, reaching, or operating in confined and fast-moving floodwater conditions. Its ergonomic design helps reduce bulk without compromising safety, enabling responders to move efficiently and confidently during critical incidents where agility and freedom of movement are essential.
