Northern Diver Supports EUSAC Charity Burns Night in Aid of St Abbs Lifeboat
Northern Diver was proud to support the Edinburgh University Sub-Aqua Club (EUSAC) Charity Burns Night Ceilidh, held last month in aid of the St Abbs Lifeboat.
The event brought together students, divers and supporters for an evening of traditional Scottish celebration, raising funds for the RNLI station at St Abbs — a vital lifeboat service operating along Scotland’s southeast coastline. As part of the evening’s fundraising activities, Northern Diver contributed to the raffle by providing a Northern Diver NDB5 Holdall prize package. The raffle, along with other donations during the event, helped the club raise almost £600 for the lifeboat station.
St Abbs Lifeboat plays an important role in responding to emergencies at sea, supporting fishermen, recreational boaters and divers exploring the waters around the Berwickshire coast. The work carried out by RNLI crews and volunteers is essential in keeping coastal communities and water users safe.
Northern Diver has a long-standing connection with the diving community and water rescue operations. We are always pleased to support initiatives that benefit maritime safety and coastal rescue services.
Events such as EUSAC’s Burns Night Ceilidh demonstrate the strength of the community and its commitment to supporting those who help keep people safe in and around the water. Congratulations to everyone at Edinburgh University Sub-Aqua Club for organising such a successful event and raising funds for an important cause. We are delighted to have been able to contribute to the evening and support the fundraising efforts for St Abbs Lifeboat.
