We’re looking for a Showroom Sales Representative to join our friendly team at our Appley Bridge headquarters.

If you love meeting new people, enjoy chatting to customers and get a real buzz from helping someone find exactly what they’re looking for, this could be the role for you.

Our showroom is a busy and welcoming place, and you’ll meet new people every day — from divers choosing their first drysuit to experienced professionals looking for specialist equipment. You’ll get to know our customers, build lasting relationships and help them find the perfect-fitting suit and the right equipment for their needs.

You’ll also have the chance to show customers around our headquarters, giving them a behind-the-scenes look at Northern Diver and introducing them to the people, departments and facilities that make us who we are.

​​​​​​​You’ll be joining Maddie and Ieva, who run our showroom and shop and have a real passion for people, products and great customer service. They’re a friendly pair who love what they do and are looking for someone who will enjoy being part of the team.

What You’ll Be Doing
Every day will be a little different, but your role will include:

> Welcoming customers into our showroom and making them feel at home.
> Meeting new people every day and building great relationships with our customers.
> Helping divers find the perfect-fitting drysuit and choosing the right equipment for their needs.
> Measuring customers accurately for drysuits and helping with Made to Measure orders.
> Providing friendly, knowledgeable advice and learning more about our products along the way.
> Answering customer questions face to face, over the phone and by email.
> Processing sales and orders and keeping customer information up to date.
> Arranging repair and alteration bookings and working with our Quality Manager, Engineering and Testing teams to keep things running smoothly.
> Showing customers around our headquarters and giving them a glimpse behind the scenes at Northern Diver.
> Working with the wider sales team and other departments to make sure our customers receive a great experience from start to finish.
> Helping with general showroom duties and supporting your team when needed.

What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to be a diving expert from day one. We’ll help you learn about our products, our industry and what makes Northern Diver different.

What we really want is someone who enjoys people.

Someone who is friendly, confident and approachable. Someone who can have a great conversation with a customer, listen to what they need and help them find the right solution.

You’ll be meeting people from all walks of life, so being able to build relationships and make customers feel comfortable is really important.

We’re looking for someone who:
> Has previous experience in customer service or sales.
> Is friendly, confident and comfortable meeting new people.
> Is smart and presentable, with a professional but approachable manner.
> Enjoys talking to customers and building genuine relationships.
> Has excellent communication and people skills.
> Is organised and able to manage different tasks throughout the day.
> Is a quick learner who is excited to learn about our products.
> Has good attention to detail, particularly when measuring customers and processing orders.
> Is comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
> Can work independently but also enjoys being part of a busy, friendly team.
> Has a positive, proactive attitude and is happy to get stuck in.
> Is confident solving problems and isn’t afraid to ask questions.

Hours & Salary
Full-time, onsite
Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 5:00pm

Starting from £26,500 per annum.
Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
Immediate start available for the right candidate.
