Today marks the start of the Western Ecology Tour (W.E.T.), an expedition led by Andy Clark (aka Andy The Northern Diver), along with a team of expert divers and marine biologists.
The team are currently travelling to the northern reaches of Scotland, before heading south along the west coast to North Wales in the coming days, and finally onto Pembrokeshire - diving at spectacular spots and linking up with 3 conservation projects along the way.
The aim of the W.E.T. expedition is to assess marine environments around the UK coast and to support the vital work that scientists are doing to protect them for future generations. They will also be supporting and sharing the great work of lesser-known conservation projects: Neptune’s Army of Rubbish Cleaners, Project Sea Grass and Shark & Skate Citizen Science Scotland.
We wish them the best of luck and look forward to following their journey on social media!
