Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Accounts Assistant to join a dedicated and supportive finance team. The role offers hands-on experience across multiple areas of accounting and finance, playing a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business.

Key Responsibilities
Purchase Ledger
> Processing high volumes of supplier invoices Matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving discrepancies
> Maintaining supplier accounts and conducting regular reconciliations
> Managing supplier queries and ensuring prompt resolution
> Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
> Reconciling supplier statements and resolving finance queries
Credit Control
> Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting of debt by telephone and email
> Evaluating new credit requests and reviewing customers’ credit rankings with banks
> Investigating and resolving queries relating to non-payment of invoices
> Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements
> Maintaining accurate records of all chasing activity
> Processing and reconciliation of invoices Generating reports to manage the customer database

FULL TRAINING WILL BE GIVEN on product knowledge
Skills & Experience Required
> Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
> AAT Level 2 Qualified
> Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
> Team Player
> Opportunity to progress
> Proactive and able to manage multiple priorities
> Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
> IT literate, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office
> Willingness to learn and develop month-end accounting skills
> Able to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
> Reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic approach
Location
Northern Diver (International) Ltd, Appley Lane North, Appley Bridge, Wigan, WN6 9AE. Located just 180 yards from Appley Bridge train station, Northern Diver benefits from excellent public transport links. The train line provides direct access between Manchester and Southport, while buses to Wigan town run every 20 minutes.
Hours
This role is full- time hours only and onsite. Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 17:00 pm. The position is available for immediate start to the right candidate. So, if you feel this is the right job for you and you are looking to work in a friendly environment, we would like to hear from you.
Salary
Circa £27 - £30K per annum depended on experience.
We also offer 23 days of annual leave plus 8 statutory bank holidays and a company bonus scheme.
