Dispatch & warehouse Operative
Join the Northern Diver Team
At Northern Diver (International) Ltd, we’ve been designing and manufacturing world-class diving equipment since 1985. Our products are used by recreational, commercial and military divers around the world, and behind every order is a team of people working hard to make sure everything gets where it needs to be.
We’re looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking Dispatch & Warehouse Operative to join our growing team.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll be involved in everything from receiving deliveries and organising stock to picking orders, preparing shipments and occasionally jumping in a company van to make deliveries or collections.
You don’t need to know everything from day one. In fact, most of what you’ll be doing can be taught on the job. What we’re really looking for is the right person — someone with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, plenty of initiative and a willingness to get stuck in and learn.
If you’re organised, practical and enjoy being part of a busy team where every day brings something different, we’d love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
> Receiving, unloading and checking incoming deliveries.
> Organising and storing products safely and efficiently.
> Picking, checking and packing products for production, customer orders and dispatch.
> Preparing UK and international shipments, including labels and shipping paperwork.
> Maintaining accurate stock levels and carrying out regular stock checks.
> Using computer systems and courier platforms to update records and support shipments.
> Loading and unloading goods safely, following correct manual handling procedures.
> Carrying out occasional deliveries and collections using company vehicles.
> Operating warehouse equipment, with training provided where required.
> Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and organised while supporting colleagues across the business.
What We're Looking For
We’re much more interested in who you are and how you work than having a long list of qualifications or experience.
You’ll need:
> A full UK driving licence (essential).
> Basic computer skills and confidence using emails.
> A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
> Reliability and a willingness to get stuck in.
> Good attention to detail and pride in doing a job properly.
> The ability to work as part of a team and independently when needed.
> Good communication skills.
> The ability to safely carry out physical work and manual handling.
> A willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
Previous warehouse, dispatch or logistics experience is useful, but it’s not essential. A forklift licence is also desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.
FULL TRAINING WILL BE GIVEN on product knowledge
Why Join Northern Diver?
