This vibrant and high-visibility red rear entry 5mm Neoprene Drysuit was initially designed by us as a Salvage Civilian Dockyard Diver's Drysuit.
Here at Northern Diver, we designed and developed these suits for use by civilian ‘Salmo’ (salvage and mooring) divers in Britain, who work alongside military divers on certain operations. However, this original development makes them a perfect fit for the Commercial sector and brings a top quality drysuit to the wider market at a fraction of the cost.
Our generous 4-way superstretch neoprene with adjustable elasticated internal braces means that this commercial grade suit is suitable to be fitted for ladies and gents.
The drysuit is rear entry with neoprene neck and wrist seals. We've used durable hard sole boots that provide maximum grip, a medium duty BDM metal dry zip and Kevlar® kneepads for added protection and to lengthen the suits' lifetime as standard. A red Supervent neoprene hood is included with every drysuit.
What's unique about the Salvage Civilian Dockyard Diver's Drysuit design?
Because it was originally developed for the Salvage and Mooring industry, the drysuit is compatible with our Cuff Ring System as well as our Dry Glove Ring System.
This is also why the inflation and variable exhaust valves are positioned in the centre of the chest and upper left arm and why they're low profile valves.
TUV Rheinland has independently tested and certified our drysuit valves.
The potential use for salvage and mooring also meant we designed the suits to be incredibly hard wearing, you can see this by the standard features we've added: the medium-duty BDM metal dry zip, maximum grip hard-soled boots and the enhanced knee protection of long Kevlar® kneepads. The adjustable elasticated internal braces ensure a perfect fit.
What's the Salvage Civilian Dockyard Diver's Drysuit made of?
Our Dockyard Diver's Drysuit is made from a 5mm hyper-compressed small-diamond FO4 neoprene fabric with a soft and stretchable nylon lining.
The Small Diamond F04 Neoprene feels soft to the touch. It's four-way superstrech which offers extreme comfort and flexibility. The nylon lining and has a heavy, enhanced 3D textured appearance which is made up of weave that looks like interlocking small diamonds, hence the name.
You can be confident in the strength of the material and quality of the manufacturing because each seam is blind stitched, triple glued and internally cell taped with neoprene.
N.B. For Military use we can exchange the boots for CE approved safety boots with Kevlar® toe and mid-sole anti-penetration foil.

Just wanted to let you know that the longer I dive with that ‘red’ salvage operations suit, the longer I appreciate it. Just came back from searching a lost item in a harbor Pfäffikon SZ Switzerland for two hours, a lot of broken glass, metals etc….this suit is just perfect for cold water, for heavy duty in harbors…just great and the glove system gives additional security while working under water. I will use it with archeodivers next time we excavate some ‘ledischiff’. The neoprene hood has an excellent fit as well. Great quality – price ratio, really! Would I order it again: Sure but it seems to be indestructible!
Technology
Cuff Ring System
The Cuff Ring System has excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, abrasion, chemicals, cutting oils, petrol and gasoline. Excellent option for those interested in replacing seals quickly and easily. Attaches directly to the drysuit.
Dry Glove Ring System
Compatible with our dry glove ring system, these gloves ensure hand warmth and dexterity, crucial for safe and comfortable diving. Northern Diver continues to innovate with its revolutionary dry diving glove systems, designed to maintain efficient equipment operation even in cold conditions.
Neoprene Fabric
Small diamond neoprene fabric offers a soft feel with a textured 3D appearance and enhanced abrasion resistance, making it ideal for drysuits. FO4 neoprene thickness varies by suit, while the standard nylon lining is smooth and stretchable. Available in various colours and MTP.
Super-Vent Hood Technology
Our one-way Super-Vent valve removes trapped air from the inside of the hood, increasing comfort and ensuring a perfect fit throughout the duration of the dive.
Superstretch Neoprene
A 4-way stretch neoprene, super stretchy comfortable and versatile. Used on the neck and wrist seals of drysuits and wetsuits.

Collect In Store?
When you go to the online checkout, you can opt to collect your items in store. We'll let you know when your order is ready for you to collect. Your order will normally be ready to collect the next working day.
Returns, refunds or exchanges?
You can return any item within 28 days of receipt for a refund, provided the item is unused, in its original packaging and in 'as new' condition.
Items will be refunded in full (less postage) if received within 28 days from the date of despatch.
